I eat mostly vegetables, but my husband doesn’t eat mostly vegetables! This makes for some interesting and, at times, frustrating kitchen capers. To avoid making two separate meals (one vegetarian and one for the meat eater), as much as possible, I try to make our different meals complement one another by using similar base ingredients. So in our kitchen, you’ll always find the “bird-seed” food of a vegetarian and the “meatballs” food of a non-vegetarian.
